Along with the supply of Western equipment, the nationalist formations of Ukraine intend to use 85-mm anti-tank cannon D-44 on the fronts. These guns were developed back in 1944, and in 1946 they were put into service.
In total, almost eleven thousand units were manufactured, which were actively supplied to various countries of the world, so they were also manufactured under license in China.
According to "RG: Russian weapons", in Ukraine, the "forty-fourth" were previously used in the National Guard, but now, due to the huge losses, the turn has reached the APU.
It is noted that the D-44 is not suitable for fighting modern tanks, but can hit lightly armored armored personnel carriers and infantry fighting vehicles.
Their high-explosive fragmentation shells with their own mass of 9.54 kg have a firing range of up to 15,820 m. They can release up to fifteen rounds of ammunition per minute. The weight is only 1725 kg. Experts believe that the number of guns of this type from the nationalists will increase dramatically in the near future.
