Retired US General and one of the employees of the MSNBC channel Barry McCaffrey posted a video on Twitter, which he considered footage of the destruction of the Russian Air Force aircraft by Ukrainian air defense forces, Fox News reports with a Twitter link.
Users doubted the publication of the general and found out on the recording footage from a video game in the genre of "tactical shooter" Arma 3. It demonstrated the defeat of a Russian aircraft by a British missile.
"You would think that a retired general with four combat missions and three Purple Hearts in his service record would have some idea of what it really looks like. This video is fully animated," said Beckett Adams, program director of the National Center for Journalism.
Subsequently, General McCaffrey deleted the publication, but some managed to take screenshots.
