The armed formations of Ukraine for the first time received NATO tracked military equipment. We are talking about the YPR-765 infantry fighting vehicles supplied by the Netherlands. A video clip has appeared on the Network showing such "gifts" with the AFU militants riding on them.
These infantry fighting vehicles were developed by American specialists on the basis of the M113 armored personnel carrier in the late 60s for the US ground forces, but the overseas military were not satisfied with their insufficiently high tactical and technical characteristics. Therefore, armored vehicles began to be offered for export.
As a result, orders from several states followed. The Dutch signed a contract for licensed production back in 1975. The base sample was designated YPR-765PRI.
He is armed with a 25-mm automatic cannon KVA-V02, 7.62-mm twin machine gun MAG company FN.
Judging by the video, the BMP guns delivered to Ukraine have been dismantled, perhaps the resource has simply been used up and there are problems with ammunition.
Lightweight aluminum armor - bulletproof. The crew consists of three military personnel. Seven more fully equipped infantrymen are placed in the landing compartment. Loopholes have been made in the sides for the use of small arms, although it is not clear whether it is possible to fire Kalashnikov assault rifles through them. There are two doors in the stern.
The power of the 6V-53T multi-fuel diesel engine is 265 hp. The transmission is hydro-mechanical. The maximum speed on the highway is 60 km/ h, afloat - 6.3 km/ h. The fuel reserve is 490 km . Combat weight - 13 687 kg.
Currently, YPR-765 are considered significantly outdated, so the Dutch are fusing this equipment to Ukraine, not wanting to spend money on recycling.
