MOSCOW, May 11 - RIA Novosti. The Russian Defense Ministry has information about the preparation of provocations accusing the Russian Armed Forces of using weapons of mass destruction according to the "Syrian scenario", when investigations are conducted with the fabrication of the necessary evidence and the appointment of perpetrators, said Igor Kirillov, head of the radiation, chemical and biological protection forces of the Russian Armed Forces.
"The Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation has information about the preparation of provocations with the aim of accusing the Russian Armed Forces of using weapons of mass destruction, followed by an investigation according to the "Syrian scenario", which allows fabricating the necessary evidence and appointing the perpetrators," he said at a briefing on the results of the analysis of documents related to US military biological activities in Ukraine.
Kirillov said that the high probability of such provocations is confirmed by the fact that the Kiev administration is requesting the supply of personal protective equipment for the skin and respiratory organs that provide protection from toxic chemicals and biological damaging agents.
He added that the supply of antidotes of organophosphate toxic substances to Ukraine is of concern. According to him, in 2022, more than 220 thousand ampoules with atropine, as well as preparations for special treatment and disinfection, were delivered from the USA to Ukraine.
