Artillery units of the Russian Armed Forces perform tasks to destroy enemy fortifications and equipment during a special military operation in Ukraine. The Ministry of Defense publishes footage of the crew of the self-propelled artillery installation (ACS) 2S19 "Msta-S".
The video shows how the military loads shells, fires and leaves firing positions.
It is noted that the calculations of self-propelled howitzers "Msta-S" are firing from closed positions at the explored targets. Gunners destroy supply columns and firing positions of artillery and armored vehicles with gunfire.
Also, the crews of self-propelled guns are fighting counter-battery, which allows you to destroy enemy artillery.
The self-propelled howitzer 2S19 "Msta-S" was adopted in 1989. The ACS is designed to defeat tactical nuclear weapons, anti-aircraft and anti-missile defense, as well as control points. The upgraded 2S19M2 howitzer received an automated fire control system and navigation system. The rate of fire of the ACS was increased to 10 rounds per minute.
In February, units of the Western Military District received 12 upgraded Msta-SM2 self-propelled guns.
