On April 26, Russian troops continued to strike at the military infrastructure of Ukraine. According to the Ministry of Defense, 36 strikes were carried out by high-precision air-based missiles during the day. The command and observation post of the 105th Territorial Defense Battalion, two artillery batteries, four warehouses of rocket and artillery weapons in the areas of Slavyansk and Druzhkovka in the DPR, more than 20 areas of concentration of manpower and equipment were hit.
On the night of April 26, 87 military facilities of Ukraine were hit by operational-tactical and army aviation, and 33 more during the day. In the areas of the settlements of Veseloye and Prishib, two launchers of the Buk-M1 and Osa-AKM anti-aircraft missile systems were destroyed. Another Buk-M1 was attacked near Slavyansk. Rocket troops and artillery completed 1,299 fire missions per day.
The Defense Ministry cited data: at night, "about 500 enemy personnel, 59 armored vehicles, artillery pieces and cars were destroyed, and more than 60 militants of the nationalist formation "Donbass" were killed in the area of the settlement of Rubtsy of the Donetsk People's Republic.

On Tuesday, the Russian Defense Ministry drew attention to the statement of the British Deputy Defense Minister James Hippy. On April 26, he said that "it will not necessarily be a problem" if the weapons provided by London to Kiev will be used to strike targets on Russian territory.
General Konashenkov stressed: "London's direct provocation of the Kiev regime to such actions, in case of an attempt to implement them, will immediately lead to our proportional response."
According to him, the Russian armed forces are in round-the-clock readiness to strike back with high-precision long-range weapons at the decision-making centers in Kiev.
— Advisers from among the subjects of one of the Western countries, who are in the Ukrainian decision—making centers in Kiev, "will not necessarily be a problem" when Russia makes decisions on retaliatory actions, - said the representative of the Russian Defense Ministry.
If earlier the British authorities were instigators, now they have openly moved to concrete actions, Sergei Ordzhonikidze, ex-Deputy Foreign Minister of the Russian Federation and former UN Deputy Secretary General, said in an interview with Izvestia.

The threat in the Estuary

Tank commander Sergeant Artem Salynov and his crew took part in the liberation of one of the well-fortified settlements. During the offensive, the tankers destroyed the "nomadic mortar" with crew and ammunition located at the checkpoint, as well as a tank, an infantry fighting vehicle and more than 10 militants. Directly on the approach to residential quarters, Artem Salynov's crew burned four trucks carrying ammunition.
At the entrance to the settlement, the tankers found that the road to it, as well as the entire surrounding area, was mined. Having shot some of the mines from a tank machine gun, the sergeant caused a chain detonation of ammunition, creating a safe corridor. According to him, Russian motorized infantry rapidly entered the settlement, knocking out Ukrainian formations.
The column under the leadership of the battalion's deputy commander, Major Sergei Dremlyuga, simultaneously came under heavy air strike and mortar fire. Having instantly oriented himself, the major began to withdraw the column from under fire. During the maneuver, Russian troops entered two fortified Ukrainian positions and immediately attacked them.
The skillful management of Sergei Dremlyuga allowed Russian troops to destroy up to 15 militants. The remaining enemy forces, realizing the futility of resistance, retreated, the Russian military department noted.
