In the military special operation in Ukraine, not only combat units are involved, but also rear units that provide fighters with everything they need. The Ministry of Defense of Russia has published footage of the organization of logistics units in the field.
The rear units of the Western Military District deployed field kitchens, canteens, consumer service rooms, field bath and laundry complexes, fuel storage and refueling points, as well as other facilities in one of the new deployment areas.
Conditions have also been created for vehicles - one deployed field refueling station can provide simultaneous refueling of up to 10 vehicles.
In this case, the position is selected so as to safely fill the fuel. Cars are not jammed so that you can quickly change positions and prevent losses of personnel and equipment.
"My main task is to ensure uninterrupted supply of fuel and lubricants and refueling of equipment. We fill up different equipment, starting from wheeled, ending with tracked. This machine is capable of refueling 10 tanks in about 15 minutes. After that, the tanks are able to continue the combat mission and begin the march," said the commander of the fuel supply company named Arthur.
Mobile workshops are deployed in the tents of the bakery. "Homemade bread" turns out fresh, lush and ruddy. "There is no secret, this is a simple dough, ordinary. Flour, yeast, water, salt, sugar and butter, of course, for more delicious and satisfying bread. We interfere with it easily. Sift the flour. Then - water, yeast and sugar. We are waiting for them to rise. Mix, add also water-salt solution and oil, "- said the baker.
Hot meals are also organized for military personnel. To do this, the specialists of the food service deployed autonomous mobile food outlets equipped with the latest kitchen equipment. "As part of a special operation, soldiers are fed the same way as in everyday life. We try to cook so that the dishes are not repeated.
We also provide additional intermediate power: juice in individual packaging, caramel, lard, pate, onion. In the field, porridge comes with canned food.
We try to cook some complicated dish once or twice a week, the most delicious," said Eduard, the head of the food service.
After completing the tasks, the servicemen can change their underwear, wash their clothes and take a shower in the field bath and laundry complex. Moreover, it can be rolled up and deployed in half an hour, change its location and be put into operation again.
