The Russian Defense Ministry has published footage of the combat work of the calculation of the unmanned aerial vehicle "Outpost" during a special military operation. The calculation of the UAV was engaged in the search for objects of the Armed Forces and Ukrainian military equipment, and also controlled the accuracy of strikes on them.
I must say that our military is quite actively using drones for various purposes in the combat zone, including the "Outpost". For example, in mid-March, the official representative of the Russian Defense Ministry, Major General Igor Konashenkov, said that an unmanned aerial vehicle "Outpost-RU" near the Ukrainian village of Vypolzov, 60 km north of Kiev, destroyed the illumination and guidance radar of the S-300 anti-aircraft missile system of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
Actually, initially the "Outpost" was conceived as a reconnaissance drone and had the corresponding letter "R" in the name. As such, it is widely used in our army. But a shock version of this drone was also created - "Outpost-RU". It was first shown at the Army-2021 forum.
Two small missiles were placed on the external suspension under the wing of the drone. The description of the sample indicates that it is designed to defeat single stationary ground and moving objects.
With a maximum take-off weight of 500 kilograms, the Outpost-R can carry aircraft weapons weighing up to 100 kilograms. The cruising speed of the drone is from 120 to 180 kilometers per hour, the maximum flight duration is 10 hours, the practical altitude is almost six thousand meters.
