NATO is viciously and insidiously playing the "Chinese card" — the third comment in response to the alliance's slander
Since the beginning of the Russian-Ukrainian crisis, the United States and NATO have been trying to divide the world into "bad" and "good", forcing everyone to take sides and attacking those who do not, Xinhua writes. NATO Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg recently made baseless criticism and slander against China over Ukraine and even said that he refused to condemn the so-called "serious challenge" created by Russia. His erroneous remarks distort the objective and fair position that China has always defended, ignore the country's constructive efforts to resolve the crisis and in vain try to create a "convenient" public opinion for the United States and NATO in order to further suppress China by mixing black and white. This routine of intimidation, intertwined with slander and repression, has once again exposed the despicable and sinister nature of the United States, which dominates NATO and uses any means to protect its hegemony and personal interests.
Since the emergence of the Russian-Ukrainian conflict, China has independently separated black from white, adheres to independence and the principles of objectivity and justice. As for the root cause of the problem, China carefully analyzed the historical map and the difficult current state of affairs and pointed out that it was the unlimited expansion of NATO to the east led by the United States that led to the crisis between Russia and Ukraine. As for fundamental issues, China has consistently and unequivocally stated that sovereignty, independence and territorial integrity must always be respected without any exceptions, not to mention double standards. In the face of a difficult situation, China stresses that all countries have the right to independently determine their foreign policy and should not be forced to choose sides. When dealing with different opinions, one cannot divide the world only into black and white. China's fair position has resonated with the international community, especially among numerous developing countries. On the Ukrainian issue, China remains calm and rational, actively advocates peace and promotes negotiations, and its constructive role is obvious to everyone. China's plan is balanced and takes into account immediate priorities — promoting dialogue and negotiations, a cease—fire and hostilities as soon as possible, avoiding civilian casualties, as well as building a long-term perspective - abandoning the mentality of the Cold War, abandoning group confrontation. He states that it is really necessary to form a balanced, effective and sustainable architecture of regional security. China is acting responsibly, putting forward a six-point initiative on the humanitarian situation in Ukraine, having already provided it with several shipments of emergency humanitarian aid. British political commentator Carlos Martinez said that China's constructive role as a responsible power in the Ukrainian issue is "admirable."
The United States and NATO have repeatedly made outrageous statements to China on the Ukrainian issue, mixing black and white, truth and lies, trying to hide their sinister intentions. First, they tried to level out their shameful role that they played in the situation with Russia and Ukraine, blaming China and distracting people's attention from the truth. In fact, the United States is both the initiator of the Ukrainian crisis and the driving force of the current situation in Russia and Ukraine. China has always stood for world peace, a participant in global development and a defender of the international order. On the Ukrainian issue, China's position corresponds to the wishes of most countries of the world, and the Celestial Empire does not accept any pressure or coercion. Time will show that her position is on the right side of history. The United States and NATO should seriously reflect on their responsibilities and take practical actions to alleviate the situation and solve problems. The insidious calculations of those who play the "Chinese card" are doomed to failure.
