A video of a group attack of Ka-52 helicopters on the AFU targets has been published.
In the VOZ TV channel, visitors posted rare footage of the group work of the Ka-52 reconnaissance and attack helicopters with a view from the cockpit. The uniqueness of the video is also that it demonstrates an attack in hover mode. At the same time, combat rotorcraft remain inaccessible to enemy air defenses. The attack range is provided by the ATGM "Whirlwind". It is capable of hitting targets at a distance of up to 10 kilometers. The speed of the rocket is 600 meters per second.
The ATGM "Whirlwind" was developed in the 1980s for the Su-25, Ka-50, Ka-52, but was not mass-produced. Since 2013, the Kalashnikov Concern has taken over the production of the Whirlwind-1 rocket under a contract with the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation.
