Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin addressed the State Duma on Thursday with an annual report on the results of the government's activities.
He noted that despite the continuation of the pandemic, the result of last year was a steady economic growth. In the second quarter of last year, the country reached the pre-pandemic level in terms of gross domestic product. In general, according to the results of the past 12 months, GDP increased by 4.7%. Russian non–primary non-energy exports have updated the record, an increase of almost 40% - to about $ 200 billion.
The Head of Government spoke about what has been done to support people and various industries, including with the help of IT.
Thus, the connection of educational institutions to the Internet has been completed. Broadband Internet is now available in all hospitals, polyclinics, FAPs, colleges and universities, and this is more than 75 thousand socially significant institutions. There were communication points in 14 thousand small settlements, where from 100 to 500 people live.
IT industry support
The government is taking a separate and large set of measures for the IT industry, Mishustin noted.

Against the background of Western sanctions, the exclusion of Russian applications from online stores and fears of a complete closure of access to stores from the territory of the Russian Federation, the Ministry of Finance of Russia and leading companies are already making a domestic alternative store for Android applications, the prime minister said. The opening of this store is scheduled for the summer of this year.
Social network
The Prime Minister also invited public associations of developers to discuss the improvement of Russian social networks.
As the head of government noted, now there is a rethinking and creation of requirements for the Russian ecosystem of social networks.

It is important that the functionality of domestic social networks is at the highest level, including monetization [of content created by bloggers].

As for regulation, it is necessary to work seriously and take into account in the legislation all the elements that characterize the cryptocurrency. We will do this within the framework of the regulatory concept, which has already been approved.
The Year of Science and Technology
The Year of Science and Technology announced by the President has become really rich in content, he said Mishustin.
Thus, according to the Priority 2030 project, 121 Russian universities have already received grants worth more than 100 million rubles. They will open student technology parks, business incubators, updated laboratories. In total, more than 15 billion rubles have been allocated for the implementation of the project.
27 applications for the creation of world-class student campuses in the regions have been approved. The first eight projects have already been funded with the involvement of private investment.
This year, 15 research centers will receive state support as part of the program to create world-class scientific and educational centers.
"Pushkin Map"
Since the launch of the Pushkin Map project in September 2021, 4.8 million young people have issued the map, and the event poster has tripled, largely due to the interest of a young audience, including in the regions. Ticket purchases for such events are growing, and in March alone they amounted to 1 billion rubles.
"Pushkinskaya card" is a special bank card for young people from 14 to 22 years old, which can be paid only when buying tickets to cultural events. The state directs money to the account of such cards. You can apply for a card in your personal account on the public services portal – for this you need to have a confirmed account on the EPSU.
