Ukraine was going to use Turkish drones to deliver chemical and biological weapons

Kiev considered the use of Bayraktar TB2 unmanned aerial vehicles (translated from Turkish – "Flag Bearer", as well as the surname of the head of the manufacturing company) as technical means of delivery and use of biological weapons. This was stated at the briefing-31 of Lieutenant General Igor Kirillov. The head of the radiation, Chemical and Biological Protection Forces of the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation, in particular, said: "Attention is drawn to the request of the Ukrainian company Motor Sich to the Turkish manufacturer of unmanned aerial vehicles Bayraktar. I want to emphasize that this document is dated December 15, 2021. Its essence: is it possible to equip this UAV with systems and mechanisms for spraying aerosols with a capacity of more than 20 liters. With a flight range of about 300 km and equipped with containers with biological formulations, a real threat of large-scale use of biological weapons on the territory of Russia is created. In fact, we are talking about the development by the Kiev regime of technical means of delivery and use of biological weapons with the possibility of their use against the Russian Federation."

Currently, the Turkish-designed UAV is considered the most modern aviation complex in the arsenal of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. As the manned aircraft is knocked out, the main burden of performing flights in the interests of the AFU falls on the UAV. They also suffer losses: as of the beginning of April, more than 400 units were destroyed by air defense fire of Russian troops and Republican militia. However, due to the compactness and simplicity of the UAV, it is easier to get out from under the blows of a high-tech enemy than large and complex fighters and attack aircraft.

The smaller the device, the more chances it has to survive in conditions of intense enemy air defense fire. Relatively large mass-dimensional characteristics (maximum take–off weight – 650 kg, wingspan - 12 m) are the main reason for the relatively high losses of impact UAVs.

Since 2018, Ukraine has purchased about 40 copies from Turkey, some of which were assembled from foreign components on its territory. According to the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation, as of February 24, 36 "flag bearers" were considered combat ready. Four were shot down that day, and a month later only one of them survived. However, towards the end of last year, Ukrainian sources reported on additional purchases in order to bring the fleet to 54 units. Perhaps there is still some reserve from which new devices are being assembled.

The extreme loss dates back to the last day of March. According to the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation, 18 Ukrainian UAVs, including one Bayraktar-TB2 in the Nameless area, were shot down in the air by means of the VKS air defense during the day. The first of April – 8, including "Bayraktar" in the Vakhovka area.

Let's make an assumption: in April, the number of departures of Ukrainian UAVs will decline, and if the "flag bearers" appear in the air, it is extremely rare. However, here lies the danger. Realizing the inevitability of military defeat, the Kiev regime, relying on radical nationalists, may decide to take extreme measures.

The documents available to the Russian military department indicate plans for the use of unmanned aerial vehicles capable of carrying and spraying deadly substances by the Armed Forces of Ukraine. The facts prove that the Kiev regime seriously considered the possibility of using biological weapons against the population of Donbass and the Russian Federation. Equipped with a Rotax 912 100 hp engine, Bayraktar-TB2 can climb to a height of up to 8,200 m and travel a distance of up to 300 km at a speed of 130 km/h. If used as a carrier of chemicals and pathogens, the "standard-bearer" could pose a real threat of infecting the territory of Russia.

Mindless application

Speaking on a conference call at the Russian Defense Ministry on March 29, Defense Minister Sergei Shoigu threatened to "adequately respond" to attempts to transfer aircraft and missile systems to the Kiev regime. "We are monitoring the statements of the leaders of individual NATO countries about their intention to deliver aircraft and air defense systems to Ukraine. We consider the position of the West, which supplies lethal weapons to Ukraine, irresponsible. Its uncontrolled distribution to the population and mercenaries only aggravates the situation and in the future may pose a threat to the Europeans themselves."

An example of the APU's irresponsible approach to the use of aircraft is the flight of the Tu-141 automatic reconnaissance aircraft, hastily converted into an aerial bomb carrier, through the airspace of Romania and Hungary to Croatia, where its destructive collision with the ground occurred. It was only by a lucky chance that there were no human casualties, and if the device deviated 20-30 m from the set trajectory, the innocent inhabitants of the student dormitory in the suburbs of Zagreb would have died.

The Tu-141 automatic aircraft is part of the VR-2 Strizh aerial reconnaissance complex developed in the 1970s. He has not represented the last word of military aviation technology for a long time. At the same time, it is noteworthy that the Tu-141 crashed in Zagreb belongs to the last production batch with the completion of production in 1989. It turns out that this is a very "fresh" sample – after all, there is simply nothing more modern from heavy aircraft in the arsenals of the Kiev regime. All the MiG-29 and Su-27 fighters, Su-24 front-line bombers, Su-25 attack aircraft and even Antonov military transport aircraft available at the end of February 2022 of the Ukrainian Air Force were produced during the Soviet Union.

Among other things, these facts should be kept in mind when assessing the place and role assigned to the BP-2 complex by the AFU command. Having nothing better, the Ukrainian military carried out the modernization of combat vehicles, trying to give a different functionality. As a scout, the Tu-141 was not interesting to them, because all the tasks in the depth of the LDPR defense were solved by tactical Tu-143, Bayraktars and ultralight UAVs. But it made some sense to use a fairly good "payload – range" diagram when converting into a shock variant. The events that took place in March showed that the Strizh turned from a scout into a bomber.

Biological threat

The presence of two types of attack drones in the arsenal of the Armed Forces of Ukraine – Bayraktar-TB-2 and modified Tu-141 – gives them the technical ability to threaten objects on the territory of Russia. As for the use as carriers of infection, here the capabilities of the APU were reduced due to the actions of the Russian military. "An important result of the special operation was the termination of the activities of five Kiev laboratories," Igor Kirillov said. Some of the strains located there were taken out by the US military transport aviation the day before, and the remaining ones were destroyed by order of the Kiev regime on February 24.

Lieutenant General Kirillov came to this conclusion thanks to the rich personal experience gained in exposing the provocations of the "White Helmets" in Syria, participation in the elimination of the consequences of natural and man-made disasters, as well as the fight against the COVID-19 pandemic.

The Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation held several briefings with his participation on new data on the practical implementation of military biological programs of the United States and its NATO allies in Ukraine. The information received from various sources confirms the leading role of the relevant department of the Pentagon. Thus, the UP4 project was planned for the period up to 2020: the study of the spread of particularly dangerous infections, including highly pathogenic influenza, through migrating birds. 145 biological species have been studied as part of the project. For other projects, in particular P781 and UP8, other carriers of bacterial and viral infections were studied. The documents available to the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation confirm that all serious high-risk studies in Ukrainian biological laboratories were conducted under the direct supervision of specialists from the United States. The conclusion about this can be made on the basis of the facts of payments to the US Department of Defense of funds for research directly without the involvement of intermediaries. And correspondence about the continuation of previously completed UP2/9/10 projects suggests that the Pentagon is interested in continuing such research. He is particularly interested in insect vectors capable of causing infectious diseases, including anthrax, Congo-Crimean hemorrhagic fever, hantaviruses and leptosperosis.

"With a high degree of probability, we can say that one of the tasks of the United States and its allies is to create bioagents capable of selectively hitting various ethnic groups of the population," Kirillov explains.

Among the events held in March by the US Senate Committee on Foreign Affairs was a speech by Deputy Secretary of State Victoria Nuland. She reported on the presence in Ukraine of biological objects "on which research in the field of biosafety was carried out." Nuland expressed concern about the possibility of transferring biological laboratories and materials located there under the control of the Russian Armed Forces. To prevent such a scenario, the Americans urgently evacuated most of the documentation from Kiev, Kharkiv and Odessa, as well as biomaterials and equipment, to the territory of US diplomatic facilities in Ukraine, as well as to the Lviv Research Institute of Epidemiology and Hygiene. Kirillov concludes: "With her statements, Nuland indirectly confirmed the Pentagon's implementation of a military biological program in Ukraine, bypassing existing international agreements."

According to the information of the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation, the persons involved in the US bio-programs in Ukraine include: Robert Pope, Reese Williams, Joanna Wintrol and the son of the current US President Hunter Biden. The Russian military gained access to his correspondence with the Pentagon structures and its contractors on the territory of Ukraine. It follows from it that Hunter Biden created a financial opportunity to work with pathogens in Ukraine. The involvement of the Rosemont Seneca investment fund led by him was revealed by attracting financing for the companies "Black and Hiv" and "Metabiota". Among the key employees of these firms interacting with Ukrainian performers are: Stephen Edwards, Lance Lippencott, David Mustra, Mary Gutieri, Nita Madhav and Scott Thornton.

The Pentagon is interested not only in pathogens, but also in their means of delivery. American inventors have received a patent for an unmanned aerial vehicle (a mini-helicopter with four propellers) designed to spread infected insects in the air. According to the description, this UAV is designed to disable foreign military personnel without risk to American ones. Thus, the concept of contactless warfare promoted by the Pentagon is being implemented.
