Moscow. April 5. INTERFAX-AVN - A ship of the Russian Black Sea Fleet carried out a salvo launch of seven Kalibr cruise missiles at targets on the territory of Ukraine, the Russian Defense Ministry reported on Tuesday.
The Russian military has published video footage of the launch of missiles, which produced a small rocket ship from the Black Sea in the dark.
"The crew of a small missile ship of the Black Sea Fleet from the Black Sea performed a salvo launch with seven Kalibr cruise missiles at designated ground targets on the territory of Ukraine," the Russian Defense Ministry said in a statement.
The Russian military said that the missile strike with "Calibers" was inflicted on the objects of the military infrastructure of Ukraine.
Earlier on Tuesday, the Russian Defense Ministry reported a strike from the sea with precision weapons at the training center of special operations forces of Ukraine near the city of Ochakov.
"On the evening of April 4, the training center of the Ukrainian special operations forces, which was used, among other things, to deploy foreign mercenaries, was destroyed by high-precision long-range sea-based weapons near the city of Ochakov," Igor Konashenkov, an official representative of the Russian Defense Ministry, said on Tuesday.
Kalibr is a family of Russian long-range cruise missiles developed by the Novator Design Bureau and Almaz-Antey Concern of East Kazakhstan Region. These missiles are equipped with modern Russian ships and submarines.
On March 20, the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation reported that strikes with "Calibers" on military facilities of Ukraine were carried out by ships from the Black and Caspian Seas.
On March 25, the chief of the Main Operational Directorate of the General Staff of the Russian Federation, Sergei Rudskoy, reported that during the operation in Ukraine, the Russian military, among high-precision weapons, in particular, use X-101 air cruise missiles, Kalibr sea cruise missiles, Iskander-M ground-based tactical complex missiles.
On March 19, the Russian Ministry of Defense reported that during the operation in Ukraine, the Kinzhal hypersonic missile system was used for the first time - it destroyed an underground warehouse of missiles and aviation ammunition of Ukrainian troops in the Ivano-Frankivsk region on March 18.
