Moscow. March 25. INTERFAX-AVN - The Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation said that Russian ships struck with Kalibr cruise missiles at a large fuel base of the Ukrainian army near Kiev.
"In the evening of March 24, high-precision cruise missiles of the sea-based Kalibr struck a fuel base in the village of Kalinovka near Kiev," Russian Defense Ministry spokesman Igor Konashenkov said on Friday.
"The largest of the remaining fuel bases of the armed forces of Ukraine, from which fuel was supplied to military units in the central part of the country, was destroyed," he said about the "Caliber" strike.
Kalibr is a family of Russian cruise missiles developed by the Novator Design Bureau and Almaz-Antey Concern of East Kazakhstan Region. These missiles are equipped with modern Russian ships and submarines.
On March 23, the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation reported the destruction of a warehouse with weapons of the Ukrainian army near Rivne (a city in the north-west of Ukraine) with high-precision weapons from ships.
On that day, the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation published footage of combat launches of Bastion coastal missile systems, as well as a salvo launch of Kalibr cruise missiles from a ship.
On March 22, the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation reported a strike with precision weapons from aircraft and ships on Ukrainian military facilities in Donetsk and Luhansk regions.
On March 19, the Russian Ministry of Defense reported that during the operation in Ukraine, the Kinzhal hypersonic missile system was used for the first time - it destroyed an underground warehouse of missiles and aviation ammunition of Ukrainian troops in the Ivano-Frankivsk region on March 18.
On March 20, the Russian Ministry of Defense announced the new use of Kinzhal hypersonic complexes, as well as Kalibr cruise missiles from the Black and Caspian Seas.
At a briefing on Friday, Konashenkov said that during the night, Russian planes and helicopters hit 51 military facilities of Ukraine.
"Among them are two command posts, three multiple rocket launchers, two Buk M-1 anti-aircraft missile systems and one S-300 illumination and guidance radar near Dnepropetrovsk, three D-30 artillery guns, two warehouses of rocket and artillery weapons and ammunition, as well as 26 areas of military equipment concentration", - said Konashenkov.
"A group of "night hunters" consisting of Ka-52 and Mi-28N helicopters destroyed 24 units of military equipment during night strikes, including seven tanks, five infantry fighting vehicles, three armored personnel carriers," he said.
"Four Ukrainian unmanned aerial vehicles were shot down by Russian air defense systems in the air over the settlements of Boromlya, Borshchevaya, Oleshnya and Usoki," Konashenkov said.
"Since the beginning of the special military operation, 261 unmanned aerial vehicles, 204 anti-aircraft missile systems, 1,587 tanks and other armored combat vehicles, 163 multiple rocket launchers, 636 field artillery and mortars, as well as 1,397 units of special military vehicles have been destroyed," Konashenkov said.
"A group of troops of the Russian Armed Forces advanced another 4 kilometers overnight and captured the settlements of Batmanka, Mikhaylovka, Krasny Partizan, Stavki and Troitskoye. Currently, it is developing an offensive against units of the 25th Airborne Brigade of the Ukrainian armed forces," the official representative of the Russian Defense Ministry said.
