Moscow. March 18. INTERFAX - Russia has received evidence of the creation of biological weapons components in Ukraine with the direct participation of the Pentagon, and demands that the United States urgently disclose information about military biological activity in laboratories in this country.
"During the special operation in Ukraine, the Russian Defense Ministry received evidence of the creation of biological weapons components with the direct participation of the Pentagon. The financing by the American side of military biological projects on Ukrainian territory is documented. The total amount of cash injections amounted to $ 32 million," the Russian Embassy in the United States said in a message posted on Facebook on Friday.
One of the curators of this activity was the head of the office of the US Department of Defense for Threat Reduction at the American Embassy in Kiev, Joanna Wintrall, the diplomatic mission notes.
"We demand from the American side to disclose information about military biological activity in laboratories on the territory of Ukraine as soon as possible. What kind of peaceful research are we talking about if the Pentagon is behind all the work," the statement emphasizes.
The Embassy drew attention to the latest accusations against the Russian Federation by the United States of alleged violations of the Convention on the Prohibition of Chemical Weapons and the Convention on the Prohibition of Biological and Toxin Weapons. "To reinforce the insinuations, the State Department distributed video material on social networks, clearly designed to distract the attention of the international community from its own illegal actions in the field of military biology," the diplomatic mission notes.
They stated that the arguments of the Americans do not stand up to criticism, and in this regard, they present "to the public the facts about the non-compliance of the United States with its international obligations under the aforementioned agreements."
