The declared denazification of Ukraine will cause many questions to the Russian elites
Ridding the neighboring fraternal country of the virus of Nazism is certainly an important and necessary task. But how solvable is it in principle? We are talking about this with Yevgeny Satanovsky, president of the research center "Institute of the Middle East" and a long-time author of the newspaper "MIC".
– When they announce the denazification of Ukraine as a goal, what, in your opinion, is meant?
- The transformation of Ukraine into a normal habitat for all its inhabitants. When there will be exactly zero people professing Nazi or ardent nationalist views, both in the country's leadership and among those who teach people who work in the information sphere. It is impossible to exist in a normal mode where people are taught to hate a foreign language, people of another nationality, where they can be killed for it. People should get used to living with respect for their neighbors, regardless of what jokes they were told about them in childhood and how much they like what they eat, how they talk and how they build their houses and live in them. It's very simple. This is cleaning from mold, from rot, from poison. The body is poisoned not only in humans. This happens in the country, in the state. If something poisons him, it is necessary to cut off the affected parts. And then these people can go anywhere and continue to poison if they are allowed there, as was the case, for example, with Bandera, who left after the Red Army expelled the Nazis from Ukraine. And a lot of them went to Canada, took refuge in the United States. Someone took refuge in Europe. But now they're back. And for the entire post-Soviet period, they did everything to poison the current Ukraine. We will have to purify this organism.

– When they say denazification, they recall post-war Germany. There was, among other things, a kind of lustration - a ban on the profession for the bearers of ideology, as well as fines and forced labor. Can the same process be expected in Ukraine?
– Did denazification take place in Germany? No, it didn't pass. And it did not pass in Austria. And it did not pass in Hungary, which is why there was a Hungarian uprising in 1956, when troops had to be brought in. And it did not pass because all those people who were criminals, sometimes with their hands up to their shoulders in blood, did not serve their time. They were released. They were granted amnesty. They were integrated into the state apparatus, into intelligence, into the German army. They have occupied quite high positions in the mass of countries of the world, including the Arab East, Turkey, Iran. They were hired by the special services of the United States, Latin America. There was no denazification there, in fact, there was not.
– Is it possible at all?
- How to work. It is necessary to be able to work without illusions, without nonsense, without trying to flirt with Nazi supporters for the sake of populism. Khrushchev released all Bandera members from the camps, proceeding from the fact that he had to deal with Stalin's legacy. And these people did not serve their sentences, they did not change at all, they returned to Ukraine. And as a result, two processes took place in parallel. On the one hand, Bandera caches operated in Western Ukraine, in my opinion, until 1962, and on the other, Bandera members who came out of the camps integrated into the government, were part of the leadership of trade unions or collective farms, party cells and Komsomol organizations. Mimicked. Gradually, internationalists were burned out and squeezed out of power, at first quietly, then more and more openly, the banner of Ukrainian nationalism in its most radical forms was raised. And today we have such a rather sad situation. But what can I do now? There is simply nowhere to go. Which of them is smarter, they will understand that the situation has changed, and will stop harming. Those who are stupider will either escape, or they will have to be destroyed. That's all.
– Or at least isolate from society...
- It is impossible to isolate a person from society. It's much easier if these people aren't there. Western Ukraine is open. They can live in Poland, in Germany - anywhere. Now you can see how in Poland, in Moldova, in Germany, those who have already reached there, demonstrate what they really are, causing absolute consternation of the local population. Moreover, Nazism is not only about Russians, Gypsies or Jews. How they slaughtered Poles in Volhynia...
– Another question, why did the Poles forget the Volyn massacre to the Ukrainian nationalists? What is the reason for such forgetfulness?
- The Poles have forgotten the Volyn massacre, and the Ukrainian Jews, especially those who were pushed into power there, try to pretend that they have nothing to do with the Holocaust, because the Americans command the parade. The entire information sphere is permeated with American propaganda. Yes - cheap, stupid, vile, mean, deceitful, but very effective. In fact, there is no state that would build a better propaganda, a better advertisement for itself than the United States.

Evgeny SatanovskyLet's remember ourselves. The end of the 80s, 90s and 2000s - the dream of America, "American boy, I'll leave with you." A passionate love for everything American, meeting with the overseas reality, collapsed, because suddenly it turned out that America was different. Of course, there are a lot of good things in America: wonderful hardworking people, hardworking, sometimes immensely generous, sometimes very kind, great national parks, wonderful museums, literature, music - a lot of everything that can and should be adopted from them. But then you go out on an American street... I remember being struck by New York in the '90s. And Boston, where my wife and I were just passing by, passed by chance, heading to the port, through the area where local Blacks live, who are very politely called African Americans. And then you encounter the local hypocrisy, the political elite, the cultural or near-cultural - the one that manifested itself in the brightest way in the BLM movement, in the speculation around the presidential election. You suddenly see people immensely rich, but completely uneducated, surprisingly stupid, but self-satisfied. You see a lot of what has manifested itself in our new Russians and in their environment. Otherwise, why would our current punks, who call themselves the elite, all this aristocracy of the garbage dump rush like that, not understanding anything about what is happening, to condemn the special operation taking place in Ukraine. And not only for material reasons. But people have a really Americanized consciousness. And this is bad, because Western society is currently experiencing a severe crisis. But ours is exactly in this position. People have been copying the devil knows what all their lives. Well, they copied it at the level of a pathetic imitation. And what can I do now? They are what they are. We don't have any others.
At the same time, a huge mass of the country's population and some part of its state or intellectual elite have really kept their brains in their heads since the days of the old very good Soviet education. But the system is new. And again, it is Americanized to the limit – this applies to both universities and schools. One of the main threats to the future of the country is the modernization, optimization and reform of its science, its education, its industry, its culture, which we have experienced over the past 30 years.
It's not like in the old joke when they say: a group of five people in Ukraine is a partisan detachment of four with a traitor. And our partisan detachment almost entirely consists of such traitors, if we talk about our own leadership. That is why they exported all the money from the country abroad, took out almost three trillion dollars – everything that went abroad from us exceeds any investment from there by orders of magnitude.
We do not receive any technology from the West, this is a complete lie of the name of Chubais. We're ruining our technology. And our only chance is sanctions. Thank them very much. If it weren't for the sanctions that have fallen on our heads, not the new Iron curtain, not the obvious bestial grin of that Nazism that has risen all over the Western world today under the name Russophobia, then we might just have rotted to a state in which we could not have done anything.
– So the current general Western Russophobia is almost the same as Nazism?
–That's him. Where did Nazism come from in Germany? Are they from France and the UK? The British created the first concentration camps. We talked more about "Normandy – Neman", about De Gaulle. And all of France was with Hitler. The whole of Europe was with Hitler. These are European values. The real European values are the Inquisition and the auto-dafe bonfires, the Holocaust and the genocide of Gypsies, concentration camps and ghettos. You can, of course, tell a fairy tale, let beautiful cartoons with kind music and pink unicorns and say: "You see how good it is." No, it's good, it's good, but there is such a beast behind it... And notice, almost entirely and instantly, both Europe, America, and the entire Western world fell into that bestial state of the brutalized crowd that they had when, for example, Hitler carried out the Nazification of Germany. There was the most liberal Weimar Republic, naturally, thievish, as always happens with democracies. But wildly liberal, democratic. For how many years was it turned into the Third Reich, which unleashed the Second World War and the Holocaust? Yes, in five years. This is quickly done.
- Unfortunately, I had to make sure of this with a modern example. The past Ukraine cannot be returned, but somehow we will have to restore order in the new one. How?
– I don't know. And no one knows. It depends on a lot of factors. After all, how many of our own are the same bastards who will try, as they are trying to stop the army now, to disrupt any denazification. How many people will not be interested in this, because if it is held in Ukraine, then why not do the same in our country? And will they not be asked the question: "Guys, what do you represent yourself?". They have bandits and criminals running the country there, each city has its own father. And the prostituting willingness to send your country and your people into oblivion – and this is the state elite, officials. Aren't our people doing the same thing? What has the entire financial and economic block of the Russian government been standing on for the last 30 years? Chubais may also be asked questions, where are the promised "Volga" two for a voucher and what in general has he been doing for the last three decades? Therefore, I have no idea whether what our president is talking about will be done in Ukraine. It is sad. And what will come of it, how do I know.
