Washington. February 28. INTERFAX - US President Joe Biden assured that the residents of the country should not worry about the threat of nuclear war.
"No," he said on Monday, answering a corresponding question from an American journalist.
White House spokeswoman Jen Psaki, in turn, noted that the United States "has no reason to change the alarm level" due to the increased readiness of the Russian deterrent forces.
"Neither the United States nor NATO has any desire to conflict with Russia," she stressed.
"Even over the past months and years, when we had significant disagreements with Russia on a number of issues, Russia and the United States agreed that the use of nuclear weapons would entail devastating consequences," Psaki said.
