MOSCOW, February 28. /tass/. Roscosmos Director General Dmitry Rogozin commented on the statement of the European Space Agency (ESA), which considered the launch of the ExoMars mission in 2022 unlikely.
"The European Space Agency decided to freeze its ears to spite the Russian grandmother," Rogozin wrote in his Telegram channel.
Earlier, the European Space Agency stated that it considers the possibility of launching a Russian-European Mars exploration mission "ExoMars" unlikely due to anti-Russian sanctions imposed in connection with the situation in Ukraine. ESA also reported that they are studying the possibility of using European rockets to launch satellites into orbit, the launch of which was planned to be carried out on Russian Soyuz rockets.
On Saturday, Roscosmos CEO Dmitry Rogozin said that the state corporation, in response to EU sanctions, is suspending cooperation with European partners in organizing launches from the Kourou cosmodrome in French Guiana.
