Minsk. February 27. INTERFAX - Nuclear weapons will be deployed in Belarus again if the West places such weapons near the borders of the republic, President of the Republic Alexander Lukashenko said.
"Talking to Emmanuel Macron yesterday, he started talking to me about the referendum, but in the context of the deployment of nuclear weapons. I say, "Emmanuel, if it were necessary to deploy nuclear weapons, we would have deployed them under this Constitution. No one interferes with us in this. And then, where did you get the idea that I want to produce or deploy nuclear weapons here?" Lukashenko told reporters after voting in a referendum on Sunday in Minsk.
