TSAMTO, February 22. The teaching officers of the International Mine Action Center of the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation (MPC of the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation) have completed the training of Lao servicemen.
The training of local sappers was carried out on the basis of a branch of the center in Khammuan province of the Lao People's Democratic Republic.
The educational process ended with the final certification, including the theoretical and practical part. 30 officers and sergeants of the engineering troops of the Lao People's Army, who completed two months of training, demonstrated the knowledge and skills acquired during the study of such disciplines as explosives, ammunition and weapons of destruction, means of searching for explosive objects and protection of the sapper.
Upon completion of the certification, each serviceman received a certificate of the established sample confirming training at the branch of the MPC of the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation.
Sapper training courses in Laos have been held for the fourth time since 2018. During this time, 99 servicemen of the engineering troops of Laos were trained, according to the Department of Information and Mass Communications of the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation.

In accordance with the decision of the President of Russia to assist in the demining of the territory in the Lao People's Democratic Republic, the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation sent a mine clearance detachment of the MPC of the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation numbering 31 servicemen.
