ULAN-UDE, February 22. /tass/. The exercises of the air defense forces of the Eastern Military District (VVO) will be held at the Telemba training ground in Buryatia. This was reported to journalists on Tuesday in the press service of the VVO.
"With the divisions of anti-aircraft missile military units of the Eastern Military District stationed in the Republic of Buryatia, Khabarovsk, Zabaikalsky, Primorsky Territories, Amur Region, a field exit will take place with subsequent large-scale exercises of the air defense forces at the specialized Telemba training ground. In total, about 4 thousand servicemen will take part in the event, more than 600 units of military and special equipment will be involved," the press service reported.
The servicemen of the calculations of anti-aircraft complexes will have to work out the tasks of fire cover of the S-400 air defense units from unmanned aerial vehicles as part of mobile tactical groups. Also, the air defense units of the VVO will perform practical shooting at targets simulating aircraft, anti-aircraft and ballistic missiles.
"A large-scale event with the air defense forces will be held using standard weapons, military and special equipment, which will be transported in echelons from places of permanent deployment," the Air Defense Ministry added.
The Telemba specialized landfill is located about 500 km from Ulan-Ude. Several large-scale exercises are held there every year.
