TSAMTO, February 21. The military personnel of the International Mine Action Center of the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation continue to carry out tasks to clear the territories in Khammuan Province of the Lao People's Democratic Republic.
To date, more than 20 hectares of territory have been surveyed in the village of Nakai.
The main part of the discovered ammunition relates to cluster bombs of the BLU-26, BLU-42 type, anti-personnel mines and artillery shells, according to the Department of Information and Mass Communications of the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation.
In accordance with the decision of the President of the Russian Federation, the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation has sent a mine clearance detachment of the International Mine Action Center of the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation to assist in the demining of the territory in the Lao People's Democratic Republic.
