Moscow. February 20. INTERFAX - The flagship of the Northern Fleet (SF) - the heavy nuclear missile cruiser "Peter the Great" conducted exercises in the Barents Sea to search for submarines of a conditional enemy, the press service of the SF reported on Sunday.
"The exercise involved combat crews of the combat information center, sonar groups, navigators and personnel of the mine-torpedo warhead, who conditionally fired the Waterfall anti-submarine complex at the specified coordinates," the report says.
It is noted that the crew of the cruiser will carry out combat training missions in the Barents Sea for several days.
"During the anchorage on an unprotected raid, the sailors will conduct an exercise on anti-submarine and sabotage defense with the setting of an external watch of the BDO and practical grenade throwing," the press service reported.
According to the fleet, after completing all the assigned tasks, the TARKR "Peter the Great" will return to the main base of the Northern Fleet - the city of Severomorsk.
