The Russian Defense Ministry showed footage of the launch of the Sineva intercontinental ballistic missile (ICBM), which was carried out from an underwater position by the K-18 Karelia nuclear missile submarine of the Northern Fleet from the Barents Sea through the Kamchatka Kura test site.

It is used in the D-9RMU2 missile systems deployed on the 667BDRM Dolphin project strategic submarines. The head unit can be equipped with four high-speed small-sized unguided combat units with a capacity of 500 kt each. The maximum range depends on the thrown weight and is capable of exceeding 11 thousand km.
