Berlin. February 19. INTERFAX - British Prime Minister Boris Johnson said that at the moment he does not know what Russia's plans for Ukraine are.
"We don't know what President Putin is going to do," she said at the Munich Security Conference.
At the same time, Johnson added that "the observed signs are ominous."
On Saturday night, US President Joe Biden said that, in his opinion, Russia had decided to attack Ukraine. At the same time, he assured that as long as this has not happened, there is an opportunity for a diplomatic settlement.
"At this stage, we must strive to move towards peace and dialogue," the British Prime minister stressed. He believes that Russia's concerns about NATO are groundless.
"We could provide guarantees of this, if there is a need for them," the prime minister said.
In addition, he did not rule out that the tension between Russia and the West will last for a long time.
"We must be prepared for the fact that the crisis may drag on. And then Russia will look for a weak spot in our ranks for a long time," Johnson believes.
