This was reported to journalists in the press service of the Black Sea Fleet.
"The calculations of the coastal missile complexes "Bal" and "Bastion" of the Black Sea Fleet conducted an exercise on the defense of the territory of the Crimean Peninsula and the Caucasian coast in the event of a threat of missile strikes by ship groups of a conditional enemy from the Black Sea," the fleet reported.
The press service noted that the military personnel of the divisions of coastal missile systems in the Crimea and the Krasnodar Territory are working out the tasks of launching a missile strike at sea targets.
The navy said that the enemy's actions were imitated by ships of the Black Sea Fleet, and the defeat of naval targets was carried out by electronic missile launches. In total, more than 500 servicemen and about 50 units of military and special equipment took part in the exercises.
The exercises of naval forces, naval aviation and units of the coastal troops of the Black Sea Fleet are held as part of large-scale naval exercises under the overall leadership of the Commander-in-Chief of the Navy Nikolai Evmenov.
The exercises cover the waters of the seas adjacent to the Russian territory, as well as operationally important areas of the World Ocean.
