During the period of combat training, radar stations tracked more than 600 aircraft
YEKATERINBURG, February 18. /tass/. Combat crews of the S-300 "Favorit" anti-aircraft missile systems of the Air Defense Division of the Central Military District (CVO) discovered and destroyed reconnaissance and strike complexes and jammers of a conditional enemy during exercises in the Krasnoyarsk Territory. This was reported in the press service of the district.
"During the training and combat duty, the calculations of the air defense systems discovered aviation jammers that concealed the actions of reconnaissance and strike complexes at a distance of more than 400 kilometers. <...> The S-300 "Favorit" combat crews covering large infrastructure and military facilities in the Siberian region discovered, recognized and conditionally destroyed about 50 enemy aircraft at altitudes from 8 to 11 kilometers," the message said.
The actions of the air defense calculations were complicated by the dense air situation. During the period of combat training, radar stations tracked over 600 aircraft.
In total, about 100 units of military equipment were involved in the events, including mobile command posts, radar stations and launchers of S-300 anti-aircraft missile systems. More than 300 servicemen took part in the exercises.
