The head of Roscosmos proposed to finalize the Kuru complex for launching manned ships
Dmitry Rogozin, Director General of the Roscosmos State Corporation, proposed to finalize the Kourou launch complex for launching manned ships. The head of the state corporation said this in his Telegram channel.
"I believe that at the moment it is important for Russia and Europe to find new areas and directions for cooperation. One of such projects could be the retrofitting of the Soyuz launch complex in French Guiana to a manned level," Rogozin wrote, commenting on the material of the Ars Technica publication about the need to create a European spacecraft.
He noted that the use of the Soyuz MS spacecraft and the Soyuz-2 rocket will allow European taxpayers to save money. According to Rogozin, this will also enable European countries to become one of the states that have all the capabilities for manned space flights.
Earlier, the Ministry of Economic Development of Russia reported that a number of foreign missiles surpass Russian carriers in the use of reusable technologies.
In January, Dmitry Rogozin spoke about the tasks of the Russian Orbital Service Station (ROSS). He noted that scientific experiments will be conducted at the station.
