In Belarus, during the exercise "Allied Determination-2022", the crews of Su-35 fighters of the Eastern Military District of Russia, raised from an airfield in the Brest region, practiced intercepting an aircraft that conditionally violated the airspace of the Union State. This was reported by the Russian Defense Ministry.
That's how this tactical episode was played out in the sky. "After failing to comply with the requirements, the Su-35 crew performed a number of maneuvers that made it difficult for the violator to continue the flight, and also demonstrated readiness for the combat use of aviation weapons. As a result, the violator landed at the Baranovichi airfield, where the plane was blocked, and its crew was detained by a military police unit," the Russian Defense Ministry explained. They clarified that the role of someone else's aircraft in this case was played by the Su-30SM fighter of the Belarusian Air Force.
However, for the most part, the aviators of the two countries play out various combat episodes not as opponents, but as allies. Moreover, they perform certain tasks, for example, on air patrol of the border of the Union State, as part of mixed pairs. That is, there are Russian and Belarusian pilots in the master-slave bundle.
