The NGO "Android Technology" and the Research Institute "RIPU "SFU" have created a digital double of the robot "Marker"

MOSCOW, Feb 16 - RIA Novosti. A virtual environment for simulating the operation of the Marker robotics complex in various settings and with various equipment was created at the NGO Android Technology and the Robotics Research Institute of the Southern Federal University, Evgeny Dudorov, executive director of Android Technology, told RIA Novosti.

"NGO "Android Technology" together with the Research Institute "RIPU " SFU" within the framework of the project "Marker" by order of the Foundation for Advanced Research have developed a virtual modeling tool that allows for full-scale testing of robotics technologies on digital counterparts of robotic platforms," the agency interlocutor said.

He noted that digital copies of both robotic platforms and payload modules and the environment have been created. The virtual environment allows you to simulate various physical and natural processes - rain, snow, day, night, various terrain reliefs from sandy deserts to Arctic snows. In addition, the program can simulate the ingress of various objects into the robot body, or even the uncoupling of its caterpillar.

According to Dudorov, in the future, the virtual simulator can be transformed into a tactical "shooter" for testing technologies of tactics and strategies of behavior of robotic complexes in various thematic situations.

The robot "Marker" was developed by the company "Android Technology" together with the Foundation for Advanced Research. The robotic complex weighing about 3 tons can be equipped with various weapons.

The development has the most advanced autonomous movement skills in Russia with object recognition based on artificial intelligence technologies. The platform's autonomy is ensured by a modular multispectral vision system, in which data processing is carried out by neural network algorithms.

In three years, key technologies were created, as well as two tracked and three wheeled autonomous platforms equipped with a unified payload module and a cluster launch module for unmanned aerial vehicles.
