Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine Zaluzhny stated the need to create new air defense and missile defense systems
The Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU), Lieutenant General Valery Zaluzhny, addressed Ukrainian scientists. He listed the weapons that the military needs. This is reported by Defense Express.
In an address to the specialists of the Central Research Institute of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, Zaluzhny named priority areas for the development of Ukrainian weapons.
The Commander-in-chief noted that the military wants to get modern missile defense systems (ABM) that can intercept hypersonic missiles. Also, the armed forces of the country need air defense (air defense) to combat drones.
Speaking about missile weapons, Zaluzhny noted the need to create long-range complexes and air-launched missiles with an increased detection and destruction range.
The Commander-in-Chief also named the development of advanced means of reconnaissance and electronic warfare (EW), as well as solutions to increase the mobility of troops, among the priority areas.
Earlier, the Ukrainian military used the Soviet MT-12R anti-tank gun with a radar sighting system during the exercises. The publication The Drive noted that the MT-12P cannon is outdated.
