The organizer of the International Aviation and Space Salons, the Aviasalon company (part of the Rostec State Corporation), has turned 30 years old, the press service of the state corporation reported.
During this time, the operator has held more than 20 major exhibitions and forums, which were visited by a total of over 8.1 million people. The company has begun preparations for the next air show – MAKS-2023.
The Aviasalon company was established on February 14, 1992. The first event organized by it was the Mosaeroshow-92 exhibition, which was attended by 249 enterprises of the domestic and foreign aviation industry. A year later, the exhibition was organized in the status of an International Aviation and Space Salon. From 1993 to 2021, 15 MAKS salons were held, in which all the world's leading manufacturers of aviation equipment traditionally participate.
"MAKS is a key platform where the most advanced examples of civil and military aviation equipment are demonstrated. Premiere screenings are held here, landmark deals are concluded, and intentions for cooperation develop into firm contracts," Sergey Chemezov, General Director of Rostec State Corporation, said in his congratulation to Aviasalon.
MAKS has become the leading platform for the presentation of the achievements of the domestic aviation industry. For the first time, many novelties of their time were demonstrated at the salon: amphibious aircraft A-40 and Be-200, Ka-226 and Mi-38 helicopters, Su-57, Su-30SM, MiG-35 combat aircraft, promising Checkmate, passenger liners MS-21-300, MS-21-310, Il-114-300, LMS-901 "Baikal" and many others.
JSC Aviasalon is already preparing for MAKS-2023, which, according to the government's order, will be held in Zhukovsky in the summer. The event will traditionally be organized by Rostec State Corporation and the Ministry of Industry and Trade of Russia.
