MINSK, February 14. /tass/. Units of the Airborne troops of the Russian Armed Forces are engaged in exercises in Belarus to strengthen the Belarusian state border. This was announced on Monday by the press service of the Ministry of Defense of Belarus in its Telegram channel.
"In the Gomel area, units of the special operations forces of the Armed Forces of the Republic of Belarus and the Airborne Troops of the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation are working out tasks to search, block and destroy sabotage and reconnaissance groups of a conditional enemy and illegal armed formations. Units of the Airborne troops of the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation are strengthening sections of the state border," the message says.
According to the press service, in the Luninets area, anti-aircraft missile units of the Russian military carry out anti-aircraft cover of troops, solve the tasks of combat duty for air defense. "The assault aviation of the Aerospace Forces of the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation is working out issues of aviation support for the defending troops with the use of aviation weapons at the Ruzhansky aviation range," the defense ministry added.
