NIZHNY NOVGOROD, February 11. /tass/. Calculations of the newest radar complexes "Sky-T" of the air defense division of the Central Military District (CVO) have taken up combat duty to protect the airspace over the regions of the Volga region and the Urals, the press service of the CVO reported.
"Especially to test radars from airfields in the Chelyabinsk and Sverdlovsk regions, multifunctional supersonic Su-34 fighter-bombers of a new generation were lifted into the sky, which imitated a possible enemy. The actions of the servicemen made it possible to quickly recognize targets, measure their coordinates and provide escort. The servicemen successfully coped with the tasks set," the report says.
According to the press service, the Nebo-T radar stations are a deep modernization of the Nebo-U complex. They first entered the troops of the Central Military District in January 2022.
