About 500 servicemen took part in the exercises
YEKATERINBURG, February 11. /tass/. Servicemen of the mountain motorized rifle unit of the Central Military District (CVO), stationed in Tuva, destroyed the enemy camp during exercises in the foothills of the Western Sayan. This is stated in a message distributed on Friday by the press service of the district.
"According to the plan of the exercises, reconnaissance units during the reconnaissance of mountain routes using optical-electronic means of reconnaissance discovered a training camp of a conditional enemy in a remote mountainous area...> The main blow to the imaginary enemy was inflicted by the calculations of 120-mm self-propelled artillery installations of the self-propelled gun 2S23 "Nona-SVK", - the message says.
The press service added that reconnaissance units on armored vehicles "Tiger" destroyed retreating enemy groups with standard weapons and large-caliber machine guns "Cord".
About 500 servicemen took part in the exercises, in total more than 40 units of military and special equipment were involved.
