Stavropol. February 10th. INTERFAX - Gunners of the motorized rifle unit of the 49th Combined Arms Army of the Southern Military District conducted live firing during a camp gathering at the Nikolo-Alexandrovsky training ground in the Stavropol Territory, the press service of the Southern Military District reports.
"The calculations of the Sani mortars carried out live firing with high-explosive shells at targets at distances from 800 to 1300 m. Two minutes were allotted to fulfill the shooting standards. More than 50 calculations took part in practical actions. (...) In total, over 700 military personnel of the Southern Military District took part in the exercises," the report says.
It is noted that the servicemen destroyed the long-term firing points of the conditional enemy during the shooting.
The servicemen also fulfilled the standards for preparing mortars for firing, detecting targets, correcting fire, and organizing communication between calculations.
In order to work out joint actions and develop coordination of units, calculations of unmanned aerial vehicles and motorized rifle units were also involved in practical actions.
