Estonian robotic platforms are going abroad. Yesterday, February 8, the portal armyrecognition.com He reported that Milrem Robotics has announced the delivery of the THeMIS Combat robotic platform to Thailand.
The recipient of the robotic platform is the Defense Technology Institute (DTI) of Thailand. After a series of tests, the Thai Defense Ministry will consider purchasing a batch of tracked robots for the troops.

Thailand has been supplied with a THeMIS robot with a remote-controlled combat module equipped with a 30-mm Northrop Grumman M230 LF automatic cannon. Milrem Robotics points out that if the Ministry of Defense of Thailand approves the acquisition of THeMIS, then a local assembly with the integration of locally produced systems can be established on the basis of DTI.
The abbreviation THeMIS stands for Tracked Hybrid Modular Infantry System (tracked Hybrid Modular infantry system). The key feature of the platform in comparison with the developments of other companies is its increased modularity. The Estonian development has two independent tracked chassis units and is driven by an electric motor that can be powered by batteries or a diesel generator. Both power options provide the platform with an eight-hour power reserve.
The standard dimensions of the platform are 2.5 × 2 ×0.6 m, weight - 700 kg, payload - 700 kg. Robots based on it can reach speeds of up to 50 km/h, are able to work in a completely autonomous mode, are combined by a group and are remotely controlled by an operator.
