Earlier, the Russian Defense Ministry reported that six large amphibious assault ships (BDK) of the Baltic and Northern Fleets "are making a planned transition from the Mediterranean to the Black Sea, where they will take part in naval exercises."
The first crossing of the Bosphorus and Dardanelles Straits was made by a detachment of the Baltic Fleet BDK.
"The landing ships "Pyotr Morgunov", "George the Victorious" and "Olenegorsky Miner" (of the Northern Fleet) will pass through the Black Sea Straits within the next day," the defense ministry noted.
