The Ukrainian company has received a contract for the modernization of the Kolchuga RTR stations
Ukraine is modernizing the mobile radio intelligence station (RTR) "Kolchuga". This is reported by Defense Blog with reference to the press release of the Main Intelligence Directorate of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine (GUR MO).
The contract for the repair and modernization of the Kolchuga stations was awarded to the Target company. The publication noted that the modernization will increase the sensitivity of the passive intelligence system.
The production of the automated passive radio intelligence station Kolchuga began in 1987, and in 2001 the Ukrainian military adopted the modernized Kolchuga-M station. The RTR station allows detecting ground and surface targets at a distance of up to 1000 kilometers along the front. Exploration in passive mode reduces the probability of detecting "Chain Mail".
Earlier in the publication 19FortyFive suggested that Ukraine could become the site of the first drone war.
In January, the publication "Military-Industrial Courier" noted that the Russian electronic warfare complex RB-341B "Leer-3" can intercept traffic control and user connection.
