Moscow. February 7. INTERFAX - The equipment of the units of the Topographic Service of the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation with modern technical means has reached 96%, its chief, head of the Military Topographic Directorate of the General Staff of the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation Alexander Zaliznyuk said on Monday.
"Over the past decade, the equipment of military units of the Topographic Service with modern models has reached a high level and amounted to 96%," Zaliznyuk said.
He added that the development of a promising mobile multipurpose topographic and geodetic complex has already been completed. The new complex will allow performing a full range of special work in the field to create various types of geospatial information, including 3D terrain models.
In addition, according to Zaliznyuk, modern software and hardware complexes are being introduced in the troops to create and update geospatial information, store it, as well as bring it to associations, formations and military units.
