The introduction of artificial intelligence (AI) technologies into various systems, including autonomous transport systems, raises the issue of cybersecurity. Currently, Russia is working on the formulation of requirements and standards for information security of systems with artificial intelligence, which should be formulated by 2024. This was stated by the Deputy Minister of Digital Development, Communications and Mass Communications of the Russian Federation Alexander Shoitov in the framework of the "Infoforum-2022".
He noted that the widespread introduction of AI carries risks of a qualitatively new level. If a specialist uses AI as an expert system that helps to make a decision or assess the situation, here the issues of information security are more or less clear.
Currently, within the framework of the Digital Economy program, a number of measures are being carried out to address the issues of cybersecurity of artificial intelligence.
Also, according to Alexander Shoitov, work has now begun on cybersecurity with developers of autonomous transport systems within the framework of the Digital Economy program.
The representative of the Ministry of Finance also clarified that the digital economy implies the ubiquity of fast Internet, 5G communications, and the Internet of Things. At this level of development, autonomous transport interacts with a "smart" road infrastructure full of various sensors.
