Minsk. February 6. INTERFAX - President of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko said that in the event of a war between Ukraine and Donbass, the Belarusian army will act in the same way as the Russian one.
"Just like the Russian one. What are we doing here, joking around on the southern border today? - Lukashenka said in an interview with Russian journalist Vladimir Solovyov, answering the relevant question. Fragments were shown on the air of the TV channel "Russia -1" (VGTRK).
"If they start fighting, I said in the message (to the parliament and the people - IF), against us or against Russia, then we will fight to defend ourselves," the President of Belarus said.
Meanwhile, discussing the situation with the Ukrainian spy drone, according to Lukashenko, Minsk responds adequately. "We respond adequately, symmetrically. Do you want to start a war over a drone?" - Lukashenka reacted to the corresponding question of the interlocutor.
According to the Belarusian authorities, a Ukrainian drone violated the border on January 24, was forced to land by the Belarusian military.
