MOSCOW, Feb 5 - RIA Novosti. In the interests of the Russian military department, the spacecraft was launched into the calculated orbit by the Fregat upper stage, the Department of Information and Mass Communications of the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation reported.
"Launched today, February 5, at 10.00 Moscow time from the Plesetsk cosmodrome (Arkhangelsk region) the Soyuz-2 medium-class launch vehicle.1a"successfully launched a spacecraft into the calculated orbit at the set time in the interests of the Russian Defense Ministry," the military department noted.
The Defense Ministry added that the launch of the Soyuz-2 launch vehicle.1a" and the launch of the spacecraft into orbit took place in normal mode.
This is the first launch of the Soyuz-2 medium-class launch vehicle in 2022.
Flight tests of the Soyuz-2 space rocket complex began at the Plesetsk cosmodrome on November 8, 2004. Over the past years, 52 launches of Soyuz-2 launch vehicles of modernization stages 1A, 1B and 1B have been carried out from the northern cosmodrome. Soyuz-2 replaced the Soyuz-U launch vehicles, which were operated at the Plesetsk cosmodrome from 1973 to 2012.
