Xi Jinping spoke about his readiness to promote cooperation with Russia in space exploration
China is ready to promote cooperation with Russia in the field of cosmonautics, reports TASS, referring to the Chinese Foreign Ministry.
"China is ready to work with Russia to promote bilateral cooperation in the field of scientific and technological innovations, to promote cooperation in advanced areas such as artificial intelligence, the Internet of Things and the International Lunar Research Station, as well as in other advanced industries," Chinese President Xi Jinping said during talks with Russian President Vladimir Putin.
In January, the Chinese spacecraft Tianwen-1, located in near-Martian orbit, shot a video showing itself against the background of the Red Planet.
In May 2021, the lander of the Tianwen-1 interplanetary station with the Zhurong planetary rover made a successful landing on the surface of Mars. Thus, China became the third country after the USSR and the USA to make a successful soft landing on Mars, and the second after the United States, whose rover earned on the surface of the Red Planet.
