Details of the launch of a Ukrainian drone on the territory of Belarus have become known.
As previously reported in the Ministry of Defense, the border service agencies in cooperation with the units of the Air Force and air Defense Forces of the Armed Forces of the Republic of Belarus recorded the fact of violation of the Belarusian state border in the airspace from Ukraine by an unmanned aerial vehicle, which was subsequently forced to land by air defense units.
This was told on the air of the Belarus 1 TV channel, BelTA reports.
As a result of the analysis of the information contained on the on-board equipment of the UAV, the fact of its launch from the territory of Ukraine was confirmed.
It has been established that the UAV was launched near the village of Food in the Kovel district of the Volyn region, 1.7 km from the border with Belarus. After gaining working height, he crossed the state border of the Republic of Belarus near the village of Khmelishche, Maloritskiy district. Then, in accordance with the flight task, he proceeded to the area of the deployment of the Brest training ground.
As experts confirm, this is not an accident.
"According to the received photographs and information from the flight controller, after processing, it is possible to make a detailed map of the area with a geodetic reference of the objects located on it," said Maxim Chizhik, senior engineer for testing unmanned aircraft complexes of JSC 558 Aviation Repair Plant.
As a result of the examination of the drone, it was found that it was programmed to work along a certain path. The route originally laid down is stored in his memory. The operation of the device in the airspace of Belarus was planned and marked where it was supposed to fix a specific territory. In fact, he took 1 photo in 15 seconds, during the 50 minutes of the flight he took more than 200 photos.
According to the task, it was necessary to shoot the territory in great detail - every square. This is clearly visible in the saved route.
"We found frequencies that relate to the control and data transmission channels of the UAV. Accordingly, they reported to the control point, after which a command came from the control point to carry out radio suppression. And we have worked on this UAV," added Pavel Novik, commander of the radio interference platoon of the Armed Forces of Belarus.
The drone was discovered at the training ground during the combing of the area by special operations forces.
In connection with the incident, the military attache for defense issues at the Embassy of Ukraine in Belarus, Colonel Sergei Katsuba, was summoned to the Belarusian Defense Ministry, who was handed a note of protest in connection with the increased cases of violation of the state border of Belarus by Ukraine (this is the third since November 2021), and also stated the need to conduct proceedings on this fact and inform the Belarusian side about its results.
