Georgy Muradov noted that the Russian Navy has been constantly present in Crimea since about the appearance of the United States
SIMFEROPOL, February 3. /tass/. The Russian fleet has been present in Crimea since about the time of the appearance of the United States of America, and the proposal to withdraw it can be compared with the cancellation of the creation of this country, Deputy Prime Minister and Permanent Representative of the republic to the President of the Russian Federation Georgy Muradov told TASS.
"Do the authors of these "strategic developments" know that Russia's troops, represented by its navy, have been constantly present in Crimea since about the same time when the United States of America appeared on the world map? So the demand for the withdrawal of Russian troops from Crimea from the point of view of historical connectedness is equivalent to a proposal to cancel the creation of the United States," Muradov said.
The Permanent Representative noted that "the absurdity of such an approach of the American partners to dialogue with Russia only exposes the existence of their other plans."
Recently, statements have been made in Western countries, as well as in Ukraine, about a possible Russian invasion of Ukrainian territory. The press secretary of the President of Russia Dmitry Peskov called such information an empty and groundless escalation of tension. Peskov stressed that Russia does not pose a threat to anyone, while he did not rule out the possibility of provocations to justify such statements, and warned that attempts to solve the crisis by force in the south-east of Ukraine would have the most serious consequences.
