Moscow. February 2. INTERFAX-AVN - Tactical exercises of combat crews of anti-aircraft missile systems (SAMS) S-400 "Triumph" have started in the Leningrad region, the Western Military District (ZVO) reported on Wednesday.
"The combat crews of the S-400 Triumph will destroy the air targets of a conditional enemy as part of the exercise," the press service of the ZVO said in a statement.
According to her, the exercises are planned.
The S-400 Triumph air defense system (Almaz-Antey Concern of East Kazakhstan Region) is designed to destroy strategic and tactical aircraft, ballistic missiles, hypersonic targets and other means of air attack. According to official data, the system is capable of hitting aerodynamic targets at a range of up to 400 km, as well as ballistic targets flying at speeds up to 4.8 km/s at altitudes from several meters to several tens of kilometers at a range of up to 60 km.
