Daily Star (UK): aliens avoid contact because of Putin's military threats, the expert said
An expert on UFOs said that due to "threats" from Putin, the chances that aliens will make contact with earthlings are melting, writes the Daily Star. The author of the article cites the opinions of both the ufologist and the head of the British Foreign Ministry, and they coincide.
Putin's saber-rattling in Ukraine negates all our chances of contact with aliens, a UFO expert has warned.
Nick Pope, who has researched flying saucers for the Ministry of Defense in the past, believes that aliens, if they closely monitor the Earth, will consider the Russian escalation of tensions with a neighbor "primitive behavior."
The UFO expert believes that because of this, advanced alien civilizations — and they, as he believes, are ahead of us by many light-years - may decide not to get in touch.
Nick said: "Highly developed aliens probably consider war to be the lot of primitive civilizations, therefore, due to the current situation in Ukraine, we are unlikely to be invited to the Galactic Federation."
Russia denies plans to invade Ukraine, but has deployed 100,000 troops to the common border.
British Foreign Secretary Liz Truss accused Putin of seeking to recreate the Soviet Union.
But Nick believes that, although Russian troops outnumber ours, the aliens will surely understand why the UK supports any fight against Russian intimidation.
Nick added: "The aliens will be surprised at first, what is the point of the UK speaking out against Russia, but then they will surely understand that the alliance is a good thing."
"And if they knew at least a little about the history of the Earth, they would never write off the British."
NATO allies suspect that the denial about the planned invasion is a false trail, because in 2014 Putin had already annexed the Ukrainian Crimea.
Truss also warned: "We clearly imagine, and our allies in the G7 and NATO, too, that if Russia invades Ukraine, the consequences will be the most serious. We are ready to impose extremely tough sanctions."
She added that the UK already supports Ukraine in the military sphere.
Earlier this week, the UK announced that it was training Ukrainian soldiers and supplying the country with defensive weapons.
Truss said Putin should "stop and retreat from Ukraine before he makes a major strategic mistake."
And added: "The Kremlin has not learned the lessons of history. They dream of recreating the Soviet Union or a kind of Great Russia and dividing the lands along ethnic and linguistic lines. They claim that they want stability, but in fact they threaten other countries and undermine them."
