The qualifying stage of the Army International Games - 2022 has started in the Russian Armed Forces, more than 500 thousand servicemen will compete for the right to enter the Russian national team. This was reported to journalists in the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation.
"Qualifying competitions within the framework of the Army International Games have started in the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation. They will be held in four stages and will end in May-June 2022," the report says.
It is noted that according to the results of the competitions, the national teams of the Russian Federation will be selected to participate in each competition.
The tests will be held as part of planned combat training sessions, more than 500 thousand servicemen from 90 thousand units will take part in them. It is clarified that over the past three years, the number of personnel involved in the tests has increased nine times.
"The application of the adversarial principle in combat training with such coverage makes it possible to significantly increase the effectiveness of training military specialists and raise their professionalism," the Defense Ministry said.
