Paris. January 29. INTERFAX - French Foreign Minister Jean-Yves Le Drian announced a visit to Kiev with his German counterpart Annalena Berbock on February 7-8 and confirmed his intention to seek de-escalation around Ukraine within the Normandy format.
"Today I assured (the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine) Dmitry Kulebu in our full support and solidarity with Ukraine. Our mobilization continues, in particular in the Normandy format, to de-escalate tensions," the French Foreign Minister tweeted on Saturday.
"I will be in Ukraine on February 7 and 8 with Berbok," Le Drian said.
He has already informed on January 26 about the upcoming visit to Kiev together with his German counterpart, without specifying the date.
"In a few days I will go to Kiev together with my colleague from Germany," he said, speaking in the French Senate.
